2. Completion of Homework and Coursework

2.1 Whilst most of your child’s learning takes place in the classroom, an important part of the consolidation of the taught curriculum is through homework and coursework.  Each subject area will set homework for students which will introduce/consolidate taught content. The amount of homework will vary but should balance out across subjects over time although there will also be some variation depending upon the topic or the point in the curriculum.

2.2 Students studying accredited subjects in Key Stage 4 or Post 16 will often have compulsory non-examined assessment (NEA) to complete as part of the course. It is essential that this is completed in line with the expectations of the course deadlines, and to the best of their ability.

2.3 Your child can approach subject staff for support in advance should a piece of homework or NEA be an issue.

2.4 Please be aware that students not completing homework or NEA on time, or to their Personal Best may receive a behaviour point and some directed support in their own time with the curriculum team.
